The next morning we packed up and hiked back down to the trailhead. It was another ass kicking hike and seemed like one of those stories your parents told you about walking to school 10 miles in the snow uphill both ways. I wasn’t sure how we’d hiked UP both ways. Late afternoon we made it back and took a well deserved beer break and jump in the lake. Mountain lakes never really warm up, do they?
The guys took a backroad detour back to Utah while I took the more traveled route and headed for Nate’s house near Park City, Utah.
